TELEHEALTH

Is Telehealth Right For You

Charges for telehealth sessions are typically the same as for in-person sessions; please confirm this with your insurance carrier. While telehealth offers flexibility, I am only licensed to provide treatment to individuals located in California. At your first session, you will need to show your driver's license to verify your identity, and I will confirm your location at each subsequent session.

HOW TO ACCESS TELEHEALTH SESSIONS

  1. Internet Connection: Ensure you have a strong internet connection. You can test your connection at speedtest.net.

  2. Private Setting: Use a quiet, private room and earbuds or a headset during video calls.

  3. Devices: Use any computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera and microphone.

  4. Pre-call Setup: Before your session, log in to the TherapyNotes Portal and click on the Session button on the day of your appointment.

  5. Joining the Session: I will receive an alert when you check into the waiting room and will start the video session at the scheduled time.

  6. Technical Issues: If we encounter technical difficulties, be prepared to use Zoom or a phone call as a backup.

I use a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform called TherapyNotes. If there are any technical issues, I will provide you with a HIPAA-compliant Zoom link as a backup.
