BACKGROUND + INSPIRATION
My Journey Into Psychology
My journey into psychology began with a deep curiosity about human potential and resilience. After college, my work in the arts and passion for understanding the human mind led me to earn a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a focus on art therapy. To further refine my expertise in the mind-body connection, I pursued a PhD in Health Psychology and became a licensed clinical psychologist.
With over a decade in private practice, I specialize in working with adults navigating high-stakes careers, major life transitions, and stress-related challenges. Many of my clients are professionals, entrepreneurs, and athletes seeking to optimize performance, manage anxiety, and create more fulfilling lives. My background includes experience in diverse clinical settings, including college counseling centers, chronic pain clinics, inpatient hospitals, and intensive outpatient programs for eating disorders and behavioral health. Additionally, I provide psychological services for Division I athletes at the University of San Diego.
I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Art Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. By integrating evidence-based approaches with a personalized and strategic framework, I help clients build resilience, navigate challenges, and achieve meaningful personal and professional growth.
A 200-hour yoga teacher training further informs my holistic approach, allowing me to incorporate mindfulness, movement, and creativity into therapy when beneficial.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward greater balance, clarity, and success.
