I will provide my availability, any applicable wait time, and offer dates and times for a free 20-30 minute consultation call to determine if we are a good fit.
PAYMENT, BILLING, AND INSURANCE
-
All individuals must have a credit card on file with ALMA and/or TherapyNotes. This card will be charged for copays, deductibles, insurance non-payments, and late or no-show fees.
-
I do not guarantee verification of benefits. Individuals are responsible for any services not covered by their insurance provider. Ensure you verify your benefits directly with your insurance company.
-
When contacting your insurance company, ask about your coverage for “outpatient mental health services in an office setting and via telehealth.” Provide the following:
CPT Code: 90837 (individual session) and 90791 (intake session)
Place of Service: 10 (in-person) or 02 (telehealth)
-
If using these accounts to pay for your copays, ensure you know your balance. No-shows and late cancellations cannot be billed to your insurance or HSA/FSA. If your balance depletes, you will be financially responsible for any sessions during the lapse. Please note that ALMA does not permit the use of HSA/FSA cards for payment.
-
Once your benefits are clarified, we will schedule an initial intake session. You will receive a link to TherapyNotes to complete intake forms, assessments, insurance forms, and provide credit card information.
THERAPY SESSIONS AND DURATION
-
Most individuals start with weekly, one-hour sessions. As progress is made, sessions may taper off to bi-weekly and then monthly.
-
The length of therapy varies based on your concerns and response to treatment, typically ranging from 20 to 52 sessions. Some treatment may extend beyond 52 sessions, depending on individual needs and goals.
-
Once your concerns have improved, you may continue with as-needed sessions to maintain progress. Some individuals with longstanding concerns may continue weekly treatment for extended support.
